In NSW, the bike can operate at up to 500W continuous power while remaining within local road regulations.</li><li style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: 2;">Private Properties and Off-Road Use: The Outland XT&#x2019;s power can be fully unlocked for unrestricted performance. Always check local regulations regarding private and off-road use.</li></ul></li><li style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); line-height: 2;">Speed:&#xA0;The legal speed limit for public road use is 25 km/h across all Australian states. Use the UP and DOWN arrows to scroll through the options. Press the MODE&#xA0;button briefly to select an option, or press and hold it to return to the previous menu.Note:&#xA0;The menu will close automatically if there&#x2019;s no activity for 30 seconds or if you start riding. As the wheel spins, the magnet passes by the sensor and allows it to calculate your speed.</li></ul>If the sensor and magnet are not properly aligned, the speed reading on your display may become inaccurate or fail entirely.<hr data-start="770" data-end="773"><h3 data-start="775" data-end="797" id="step-by-step-fix">Step-by-Step Fix</h3>1. Prepare your tools<ul data-start="827" data-end="937"><li data-start="827" data-end="896" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Flathead screwdriver (small size, suitable for the magnet screw).</li><li data-start="897" data-end="937" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Stable surface to support your bike.</li></ul>2. Identify the parts<ul data-start="967" data-end="1110"><li data-start="967" data-end="1037" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Locate the speed sensor near the rear wheel (black component).</li><li data-start="1038" data-end="1110" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Find the magnet fixed to one of the wheel spokes (silver piece).</li></ul>3. Adjust the magnet<ul data-start="1139" data-end="1517"><li data-start="1139" data-end="1219" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Using the flathead screwdriver, gently loosen the small screw on the magnet.</li><li data-start="1220" data-end="1348" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Slide the magnet along the spoke until the centre of the magnet is aligned directly with the centre of the speed sensor.</li><li data-start="1349" data-end="1455" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Keep the distance between the magnet and sensor as close as possible without touching (around 15&#x2013;20 mm).</li><li data-start="1456" data-end="1517" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Retighten the screw securely to hold the magnet in place.</li></ul>4. Test the alignment<ul data-start="1547" data-end="1769"><li data-start="1547" data-end="1632" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Place your bike on its kickstand so that the rear wheel is lifted off the ground.</li><li data-start="1633" data-end="1677" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Use the throttle to spin the rear wheel.</li><li data-start="1678" data-end="1769" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Observe the display screen to confirm the speed reading is now consistent and accurate.</li></ul><hr data-start="1771" data-end="1774"><h3 data-start="1776" data-end="1794" id="safety-notes">Safety Notes</h3><ul data-start="1795" data-end="2039"><li data-start="1795" data-end="1868" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Do not ride the bike while the speed sensor is loose or untested.</li><li data-start="1869" data-end="1956" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Ensure the magnet screw is tightened firmly to prevent it from moving during rides.</li><li data-start="1957" data-end="2039" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Avoid using excess force when tightening to reduce risk of damaging the spoke.</li></ul><hr data-start="2041" data-end="2044"><h3 data-start="2046" data-end="2073" id="if-the-issue-persists">If the Issue Persists</h3><ul data-start="2074" data-end="2333"><li data-start="2074" data-end="2177" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Recheck the alignment: even a small offset between the magnet and sensor can cause missed readings.</li><li data-start="2178" data-end="2261" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Inspect for dirt or debris: clean both the magnet and sensor with a soft cloth.</li><li data-start="2262" data-end="2333" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Ensure wiring to the speed sensor is not loose, kinked, or damaged.</li></ul>If you still experience problems after these checks:<ol data-start="2390" data-end="2573"><li data-start="2390" data-end="2465" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Contact Ridewave Support with your bike&#x2019;s model and serial number.</li><li data-start="2466" data-end="2573" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">Provide a brief description of the issue and (if possible) a photo of the sensor and magnet alignment.</li></ol>
