Extended Warranty OptionsUpdated 4 days ago

At Ridewave Bikes, we stand behind every eBike we build. While our bikes are designed and assembled with precision, occasional manufacturing defects can occur. To give riders complete peace of mind, Ridewave offers optional Extended Warranty Plans that provide continued protection beyond the standard coverage period.



When to Purchase

You can add an Extended Warranty either:

  • At checkout when purchasing your new Ridewave eBike, or
  • Within 30 days after delivery, provided your bike is still within the standard warranty period.

After this period, extended coverage cannot be added.



What’s Covered

Both our standard and extended warranties protect against manufacturing defects in key electrical and structural components, including:

  • Frame & fork
  • Motor & controller
  • Battery & charger
  • Display unit & control wiring

These warranties are designed to protect you from unexpected failures in high-value components.



What’s Not Covered

The Extended Warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear-and-tear components (tyres, tubes, brake pads, chains, grips, cables, bearings, spokes)
  • Cosmetic damage or fading caused by UV or environmental exposure
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or water ingress
  • Corrosion or rust from improper storage or cleaning
  • Unauthorised modifications or use of non-genuine parts
  • Labour costs for installing replacement parts after 30 days from delivery — any service, fitting, or installation work required to replace a part under warranty will be at the customer’s own expense after the initial 30-day period.
  • Any eBike used beyond its mileage limit (see below)


Shipping Coverage

All shipping costs for approved warranty replacement parts are fully covered by Ridewave during the warranty period.



Duration & Mileage Limits

Ridewave warranties include both a time and usage limit. Coverage applies for whichever comes first.

Standard Warranty
Covers 12 months or up to 4,000 km — includes replacement parts and shipping.

Extended 2-Year Plan
Covers 24 months or up to 8,000 km — includes replacement parts and shipping.

Extended 3-Year Plan
Covers 36 months or up to 12,000 km — includes replacement parts and shipping.




Commercial Use Coverage

Ridewave eBikes are built for daily reliability and can be used for commuting or light commercial purposes such as deliveries. Warranty coverage still applies as long as the eBike remains within the annual 4,000 km usage limit and is properly maintained.
