Folding, Storage and TransportUpdated an hour ago
If your Ridewave e-bike or e-trike is designed to fold, preparing it first makes folding and transport much easier. The exact folding sequence, locks and folded size vary by model, so always follow the Product Guide or manual for your own vehicle.
Before folding or lifting
Turn the vehicle off before folding, lifting, loading or storing it. Remove or secure loose accessories where practical, and make sure no cables, bags or straps can be caught in moving parts.
Some models are heavy or awkward to lift. Use two people or suitable lifting assistance where needed, and do not attempt a lift that feels unsafe. Removing the battery may reduce lifting weight on models where this is supported, but follow your model instructions for safe battery removal and refitting.
Transporting your Ridewave
Before using a car boot, rack, caravan carrier or other transport solution, confirm the available dimensions and weight capacity. Do not assume that a vehicle, rack or carrier is suitable just because it fits a different bike.
Secure the vehicle so it cannot shift during transport. Keep the battery dry, protected from impact and secured according to the relevant product guidance. Check that any carrier straps, clamps or tie-downs do not damage cables, brakes, the frame or accessories.
Storage
Store your Ridewave in a dry, sheltered place. Keep the battery away from extreme heat, direct sunlight, moisture and flammable materials. Avoid leaving the battery fully discharged for an extended period, and follow the battery-care guidance supplied for your model.
Before storing for a longer period, check that the vehicle is clean and dry, tyres are in good condition, and the battery is securely stored. Do not store a damaged, unusually hot, swollen or leaking battery; stop using it and contact Ridewave instead.
