How to unlock Speed - GlideWaveUpdated 7 days ago

By proceeding with any modifications, you accept full responsibility and agree to the following terms:

  1. Legal Liability: You are solely accountable for any legal consequences, including fines, penalties, or sanctions, resulting from the use of an unlocked or modified eBike on public roads.
    • Under the Australian Road Rules and relevant state laws, an eBike that exceeds 250W of continuous power output, a 25km/h pedal-assisted speed limit, or a 6km/h throttle speed limit, does not meet the legal classification of a bicycle. As such, it may be subject to motor vehicle regulations, which include registration, licensing, and insurance requirements.

  2. Accidents & Injuries: Any injuries, damages, or accidents caused by operating a modified eBike are entirely at your own risk. Ridewave Bikes does not accept any liability for such occurrences.

  3. Warranty Implications: Unauthorized alterations to your eBike's advanced settings may result in the voiding of certain warranty provisions, including coverage for repairs, maintenance, or replacements.

Ridewave Bikes takes no legal, financial, or personal responsibility for the misuse of these settings. By unlocking or modifying your eBike, you acknowledge that you are acting at your own discretion and agree to comply with all applicable local laws.

Ride Responsibly. Ride Safely.

1. Legal Compliance and Riding Guidelines:

  • Power:

    • Public Roads: In most Australian states, the GlideWave is restricted to a maximum continuous power output of 250W at 25 km/h. In NSW, the GlideWave can operate at up to 500W continuous power while remaining within local road regulations.

    • Private Properties and Off-Road Use: The GlideWave’s power can be fully unlocked for unrestricted performance. Always check local regulations regarding private and off-road use.

    • Speed: The legal speed limit for public road use is 25 km/h across all Australian states. Unlocking the speed limit is strictly for private property or off-road use only.

  • Important Notes:

    • GlideWave series e-bikes are designed to comply with Australian road laws when configured to standard settings. Always ensure you operate your bike within the limits of your local regulations.

    • Any modifications to power output, speed settings, or throttle functionality are intended for private property use only. Such changes may make the bike non-compliant with public road laws.

    • Unauthorized modifications can void the warranty and may lead to legal penalties.

Stay safe, ride responsibly, and enjoy the performance of your GlideWave within the guidelines of Australian regulations.

2. Accessing the Advanced Settings

  1. Turn the display on and hold down the 'M' button to access the settings menu.

  2. Navigate to the bottom of the settings menu using the up and down arrows until you reach 'P-SET'.

  3. P-SET will prompt you to enter a passcode. Enter the code '0526' by using the up and down arrows to adjust each digit, and the M button to move to the next digit.

  4. Once the code has been entered, adjust the speed limit setting from the default '25 km/h' to '99 km/h' to remove the limit. The unlocked speeds for the GlideWave are available on our website.

  5. After adjusting the settings you want, exit out of the P-SET menu, and then exit out of the main settings menu.
