Out-of-Warranty Repairs and Replacement PartsUpdated 3 hours ago

An expired written warranty does not mean Ridewave cannot help. We can still review repair requests and advise on compatible replacement parts, local repair options and likely next steps for your Ridewave e-bike or e-trike.

Please start with the Warranty Claim & Repair Request form. Using one form helps us gather the right product and fault details before suggesting a part or repair.

What support may be available

Depending on the issue, Ridewave may be able to:

  • confirm the likely replacement part or accessory;
  • check compatibility with your model and version;
  • check local or supplier stock availability;
  • provide a price for the part and applicable delivery cost;
  • recommend a local bike shop or technician where available; or
  • provide approved repair guidance for simple, safe tasks.

Parts, freight and labour can be chargeable where an issue is outside the written warranty or relates to normal wear, servicing, accidental damage, misuse or a non-covered cause. We will explain the available option and applicable cost before arranging a paid part or repair. Stock, supplier lead times and workshop availability can vary, so we do not promise availability until checked.

Warranty period versus consumer guarantees

The written warranty period is one factor in an assessment, but it is not the only one. Australian Consumer Law consumer guarantees can apply separately from a manufacturer warranty. If you believe a product fault may be covered, please still submit the form with evidence rather than assuming it can only be a paid repair.

The outcome depends on the specific product, issue, age, condition, use, maintenance and evidence. We will review the request before confirming whether it is a warranty matter, a paid repair, replacement-part purchase or another support route.

Help us identify the right part

Please include the model, order number or proof of purchase, a photo of the full product, and close-up photos of the affected area. For electrical items, include any visible part label, display error code and a short stationary video showing the issue. Do not open a battery, motor, controller or hydraulic brake system to look for a part number.

For a worn tyre, brake, chain or gear concern, a routine bicycle service may be the quickest solution. For an electrical, frame or safety-related issue, wait for Ridewave’s assessment before authorising work if you want us to review possible coverage.
