Troubleshooting: eBike Display Not Turning OnUpdated 4 hours ago
If your Glide Series eBike display does not power on, it may be because the battery has entered Sleep Mode.
This is a built-in self-protection feature designed to prevent deep discharge and extend the battery’s lifespan.
Sleep Mode can automatically activate when the bike is not used for an extended period or when the battery level is low.
Step-by-Step to Reactivate the Battery
- Remove the battery from the bike frame.
- Locate the small button on the left side of the battery (see image).
- Short-click the button once— this will wake the battery.
🔵 Blue: Battery Full
🟢 Green: Battery Medium
🔴 Red: Battery Low
- Re-insert the battery back into the bike and try switching on the display again.
💡 Tips
If the display still doesn’t turn on, check that the battery is fully charged and properly locked in place.
Make sure the battery terminals and bike connectors are clean and free from dust or corrosion.
Avoid leaving the bike unused for long periods without charging—charge the battery at least once every 1–2 months.
⚠️ Important Note
Entering Sleep Mode is normal and does not indicate a fault. It helps prevent permanent damage from over-discharge.
If the issue continues even after waking the battery, please contact Ridewave Support for further assistance.
