What Is Covered by Ridewave Warranty?Updated 3 hours ago

Ridewave provides a one-year limited warranty for eligible manufacturing faults in the frame, battery, motor, electrical components and Ridewave-branded optional accessories. The warranty is intended to support products used normally and maintained appropriately.

The complete terms are available on our Warranty page. If you have an issue, use the Warranty Claim & Repair Request form so our team can assess the individual circumstances.

What may be covered

Subject to review, the warranty may apply to defects in materials or workmanship affecting items such as:

  • the frame;
  • battery, motor and electrical system;
  • display, lights and other supplied electrical components;
  • drivetrain and control components; and
  • Ridewave-branded optional accessories.

The appropriate solution depends on the issue. It may involve a replacement component, repair guidance, approved local-repair support or another suitable remedy. A claim is assessed using the product, purchase details, condition, use history and supporting evidence; submitting a form does not itself confirm coverage.

Common exclusions

Warranty assessment does not normally cover normal wear and routine maintenance, including tyre punctures, tyres and tubes, brake-pad or disc wear, chain care, routine gear adjustment, bearings and other consumable items.

It also does not normally cover damage caused by impacts, crashes, improper assembly or maintenance, water damage or submersion, unsuitable cleaning, overloading, unauthorised modifications, non-approved parts or chargers, or repair work completed without Ridewave’s written approval.

Minor cosmetic marks caused by normal shipping movement may be handled differently from a safety or functional issue. Shipping damage should be reported promptly with carton and label photos so it can be reviewed through the freight process.

Purchaser and retailer information

The Ridewave limited warranty is generally for the original purchaser and requires valid proof of purchase. If the product was purchased from an authorised local Ridewave dealer, please contact that dealer first; they can work with Ridewave on the next step.

Your Australian Consumer Law rights

Ridewave’s written warranty is provided in addition to rights under the Australian Consumer Law. A warranty period does not remove consumer guarantees that may apply for a reasonable time depending on the product and circumstances. The ACCC’s warranty guidance explains this distinction.
