Your First Service and Routine CareUpdated an hour ago

Like any bicycle, your Ridewave e-bike or e-trike can settle in during its first few weeks of riding. A first check or tune-up helps identify normal early adjustments before they become inconvenient.

When to arrange a first check

We recommend a first check or tune-up after the first few weeks of riding, or around 100–300 km, depending on how and where you ride. This is a practical maintenance recommendation, not a fixed requirement for every rider or model.

Early adjustments can include cable stretch, brake alignment, gear indexing and a general check of key bolts. Most standard local bike shops can help with this type of routine bicycle servicing.

Simple regular checks

Before and between rides, take a moment to check:

  • Tyres are correctly inflated and free from obvious damage.
  • Both brakes work properly and feel secure.
  • Handlebars, pedals, wheels and accessories feel secure.
  • The chain and drivetrain are clean and lubricated as needed.
  • The battery is secure, and the display and lights work normally.

Ridewave's motor, battery and electrical system generally do not require routine servicing. If you notice an electrical issue, do not open components or arrange third-party electrical repairs before contacting Ridewave.

Routine care versus a possible fault

Brake and gear adjustments after early use can be normal maintenance. If an issue was present before the product was used, or something feels damaged or unsafe, please ask Ridewave to review it before arranging repair work. Warranty-related repairs and costs need written approval before work is carried out.

Stop riding and arrange a qualified inspection if a brake feels weak, a wheel is loose, the steering behaves unexpectedly, or any safety-critical part does not feel secure.

For routine care questions, contact Ridewave, call +61 468 095 888, or email [email protected]. For a possible product fault, please submit a warranty claim with your order number, model and clear photos or video.
