Miniwave Display Factory ResetUpdated a few seconds ago
Many common issues on the Miniwave — such as the throttle or pedal assist suddenly not working, or the bike feeling slower than usual — are caused by a display setting that has been changed by accident. Resetting the display to its factory settings is a quick, safe first step before any other troubleshooting.
When to Try a Reset
- The display turns on, but the throttle and/or pedal assist don’t give any power.
- The speed reading or top speed looks wrong.
- Settings have been changed and you’re not sure what was changed.
How to Reset the Display
- Turn the bike on and wait until the display is on the main screen.
- Press and hold the (+) and Power buttons together for about 2 seconds, until the screen shows dEF – N.
- Use the (+) button to change N to Y.
- Press and hold the Power button for about 2 seconds. The display will show dEF – 00 and return to the start-up screen.
Your display is now back to its factory settings. Turn the bike off and on again, then test the throttle and pedal assist.
After the Reset
- All display settings are restored to their factory defaults.
- Pedal assist starts at level 1. Use the (+) and (−) buttons to choose your level as normal.
- For a full guide to the buttons and display, see Miniwave Display & Controls Guide.
Still Not Working?
- If there is an error code on the display, see Miniwave Display Error Codes.
- If the display is on but there’s no motor power, check the brake sensors — see Miniwave Brake Sensor Test and Adjustment.
