We understand that buying an e-bike online can feel like a big decision — so this guide explains exactly what happens at every stage, from order to first ride.

Before Ordering
Before placing your order, take a moment to be sure about the model, frame type, colour, and any accessories you’d like. If you’re not certain which Ridewave fits your needs, just give us a call or send us an email — we’re always happy to help you pick the perfect bike for your riding style and location.
Once you’ve completed checkout, our system gets moving quickly. Orders are usually processed and shipped within 1–3 business days. Because of this fast turnaround, orders can’t be modified once shipped. (If you need to make changes, check our Order Cancellations section below.)

Do I Need a Mechanic?
Not necessarily! Ridewave e-bikes are designed to be easy to set up, even if you’ve never built a bike before. Each model comes mostly assembled (85–95%, depending on the bike) and we provide clear step-by-step videos to guide you.
If you’d rather have some extra help, we can recommend a reliable local mechanic who can assist with assembly and long-term servicing. Just keep in mind that issues caused by incorrect assembly aren’t covered by warranty — so take your time and follow the instructions carefully.
While Your Bike Is En Route
Exciting times ahead! Once your Ridewave ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking details so you can follow its journey to your door.
Keep an eye on the estimated delivery date — couriers sometimes update this depending on network delays or faster routes.
Upon Delivery
Every Ridewave shipment requires a signature upon delivery. If you’re not available, please arrange for a trusted person to sign on your behalf.
If your box arrives looking a bit rough, don’t panic and don’t reject it — this can cause extra freight charges. Instead, take a few clear photos of the box before opening, then inspect your bike carefully once unpacked. If you notice any cosmetic or shipping damage, email us your photos and details at [email protected] — we’ll take care of you.
Our packaging is purpose-built to protect your bike. Even if the box looks dented or torn, it’s very likely that your Ridewave is completely unharmed inside.
Assembly
Every model includes a step-by-step assembly video on its product page under the “Assembly & Support” tab. Follow the video closely to ensure everything is properly set up and adjusted before your first ride.
If you’re missing a part or something doesn’t look right, don’t worry — just reach out to us. Our Australian-based team will walk you through it or arrange a solution quickly.
After Your Purchase

Order Cancellations
New Orders
If your order hasn’t been processed or picked in our warehouse, it can be cancelled for a refund minus a 3% payment processing fee. (This covers the non-refundable transaction fee charged by our payment provider.)
Processing Orders
Once your order enters “processing,” it’s already being picked or packed for shipment. We’ll do our best to intercept it, but cancellation isn’t guaranteed. If we can stop it, the 3% fee still applies.
Shipped Orders
If your order has shipped and you wish to cancel, a $400–$600 restocking fee will apply. This fee covers return freight costs and warehouse handling.
Changed your mind about the model, colour, or frame? No problem. If you’d like to exchange your bike, we’ll do our best to reduce or waive the restocking fee so you can get on the right Ridewave for you. Our goal isn’t to profit from cancellations — it’s to get you riding.
What Happens After You Order
Once you’ve placed your order, you can relax — we’ll handle the rest! Here’s exactly what happens next so you know what to expect:
- Order Confirmation – As soon as you complete checkout, you’ll receive an email confirming that we’ve received your order and payment. This means it’s officially in our system and being queued for processing.
- Processing & Preparation – Your e-bike is carefully picked and prepared for shipping. Our fulfillment team checks packaging, serial numbers, and accessories to ensure everything’s ready to ride once it reaches you.
- Dispatch & Tracking – Once dispatched, you’ll get another email with your tracking number. You can use this to follow your Ridewave’s journey in real time.
- Delivery Day – Your bike arrives at your door, usually 85–95% assembled and safely packaged. Remember, a signature is required on delivery — if you can’t be there, arrange for someone you trust to sign on your behalf.
- Unboxing & Assembly – Unbox your Ridewave, check the included parts, and follow your model’s Assembly Video or printed guide. Most customers are ready to ride within an hour!
- Enjoy the Ride – That’s it — your Ridewave adventure begins! You can find care and maintenance tips anytime in our Support Library, and if you ever need help, our friendly team is just an email away.
